Volunteers / Supporters
The Club would not be able to function without volunteers. All members are expected to help out with Race Officer/Patrol Boat duties. However, this is also a great way to get to know people. Remember the old adage, the more you put into something the more you will get out of it? So, if you are able to give additional support, we would love to hear from you. The committee, who run the club are all volunteers, and we are always looking for new members either as one of the Officer roles or a general committee member. We also volunteer for winter work parties and other ad hock activities.
We use the Dutyman programme for members to volunteer for Race Officer and Patrol Boat duties. There is usually and email sent to members at the start of the season asking for volunteers. The number of duties expected will depend on how many times you sail. You will not be expected to carry out a duty unless you are qualified. We can provide training if required for these roles. Please be proactive in volunteering.
